This buck had a real pretty cape, I really like the long hairs around the antler Birs. Enjoy the pics.

Charlie nice mount. glad to see one with heavy hair around the bases. My brother is mounting my blacktail from this year and I had him use a cape off of a buck I got a few years back that had a bigger head and prettier cape however to make it work with this bigger set of horns with big bases the thick hair really covers the bases and I was worried it would look funny. Seeing this mount though is very similar so maybe some bucks just have that tall heavy hair up top unlike most bucks that the bases are all exposed? The way you are cranking out the mounts makes it seem like you have a spring hunt to go on?! nwhunter

Hey Scott, Im just in a hurry to get cought up so I can get to some of my stuff
Actually Im on a mission to get as much stuff done as possible so I am hopefully cought up by August. I want to kill a bear something fierce. And I cant wait for september. Imgoing all in to kill a nice Roosie this year.

I hear ya on the roosie mission thats my hope too. If the draws don't mess me up I am going to put my time in around home I hope and I drew the elk multi season so get a couple tries at them. Maybe see ya on the eastside next month. nwhunter

Hey Scott, I forgot to mention that most of the bucks I have mounted do not have that long hair up over the bases, it usually gets cut off flusk when they are rubbing I suspect. I see those capes that have the long hairs as a bonus. I think they look cooler when mounted.
